I have 2 German Shephard mix, Whiskey & Brandy, who are 9 1/2 yrs old both weighing between 90 & 100 #'s, both having the hip displasia diagnosed by the vet when they were 3 yrs old. Whiskey was placed on deramaxx when he was 4yrs. I was introduced to MA 3 yrs ago and started him on the pethealth immediately. I was able to discontinue use of the deramaxx for 2 years until it was noticable once again that he was having trouble walking. I added the deramaxx back in and he was able to walk comfortably again but still had problems with getting up & the steps. About a year ago after taking several product trainings & learning how omega III can help with human joint pain I asked the vet about it helping my dogs. He said absolutely and said he had omega pills available if I wanted to start them on it. I asked what the difference was between the ones for the dogs and the ones for humans, & he said nothing. So I started both my dogs on 2 omega III pills along with the 2 scoops of pethealth every day with Whiskey still taking the deramaxx daily. After about 2 weeks I noticed they were bouncing around during our walk like they were puppies again. I wasn't sure if the products were helping and when I ran out of the pethealth and Omega III, I didn't think anything of it and took my time re-ordering. 2 weeks later, they both were having a hard time getting up and a harder time still negotiating the steps to go outside. Needless to say after I noticed this, I immediately put an order in & got them back on the products. It took about 1 week for them both to get their mobility back again & I have been very diligent on not running out again. The omega also helps them keep their natural oils so their skin doesn't get flakey.
